Purple cloth-covered boards; gilt illustration and blind embossed decorations and borders on front, blind embossed illustration and borders on rear, gilt decorations and titles on spine. 4to. . Sun-fading and light soiling to boards. Spine sun-faded, spine ends rubbed and rounded with some <1cm splits in cloth. Corners heavily rubbed and rounded. Text block edges tanned, top edge dusty and untrimmed. Slightly cocked. Gutters stretched. Tissue-guards tanned in shape of illustrations on plates. Prelims have light foxing. Page margins tanning. Pages 1-5 partly detached. 4cm tear on fore-edge of pare 127/8, top edge of last few pages appear to have separated (quite carefully; only minor damage).
