A date has been written in crayon of the front free endpaper, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original dust jacket, very slightly bumped on upper leading corner and around head of spine. Rushden's biography of Ada Cole (1860-1930) is a fascinating account of a pioneer against animal cruelty, founder of the International League for the Protection of Horses, and a war heroine.
