1945 reprint of 1936 1st thus edition. 120pp, colour plate frontispiece and five further colour plate illustrations, all by Harrison Cady. In bright green cloth boards with black and green stamped illustration and lettering. 12mo. Cloth is a little faded and rounded at corners and at spine tips, one corner bumped. Small pencil inscription on front pastedown and previous owner's name, in a child's hand, on front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original, illustrated, dust jacket, with some loss along upper edge and around spine base and lower rear edge, a bit chipped and rubbed at edges. Dust jacket now protected in Mylar-style wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Charming vintage book.
