Complete in two volumes. Volume One: xxviii, 1136pp. Volume II: 1137-2308pp, 32pp. A two volume set uniformly bound in red cloth-covered boards with extensive gilt decorations and lettering. Bevelled edges. Black endpapers. Large 4to. A very large and very, very heavy set (5.3kg) which will incur an additional charge for overseas delivery. Boards are heavily worn all over, rubbed at edges. Backstrip of volume one is cracked along the length of front joint and opening at ends, faded, backstrip of volume two absent. Text block edges lightly toned, with a few mild marks and stains. All hinges cracked resulting in a little loosening of one board. A hint of page toning and the very occasional, neat, ink annotation. Decent working/reference set but will not look pretty on your shelves.
