A collection of historic recipes from the late 19th century designed for 'ladies who have attended [the author's] cookery demonstrations' to be a 'simple, unpretentious little book containing in abridged form, a large number of recipes. Recipes include Queen's Pudding, Apple Amber Pudding, Timbales of Whiting, Potted Veal, Tennis Cake, Mutton Broth, Hare Soup etc. The volume is fragile and will require careful handling but offers a wonderful exploration of typical, simple, family recipes and food from well over 100 years ago.
