1st US edition, first printing. [4], 270pp. In blue cloth-covered boards with black titles front and spine. 'Red Badge Detective' logos on endpapers. 8vo. Cloth is heavily worn, stained around upper leading corner, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine tips, sunned over spine. Text block edges a little toned. Some very occasional, faint spotting internally but generally neat and clean. Very slightly loose. The covers have been protected in a plastic wrapper, fitted without adhering to volume, but the wrapper itself is a little old and worn. A decent but not pretty US first edition copy of this Hercule Poirot mystery from the Queen of Crime. Not in collectible condition but may serve to fill a gap in a collection until a better copy can be sourced and afforded.
