[1912] First edition, first printing. 320pp with several pages of publisher's adverts at rear. Inscribed by the author on the half title page 'to my Sybil, form the author, Rome, 18th Oct 1912'. In deep green cloth covered boards with gilt titles front and spine. 12mo. Cloth heavily worn, rubbed and rounded at corners, spine ends and joints. Front free endpaper absent. Text block edges spotted. Spotting on first and last few pages, faint and occasional throughout. Crease in front paste down. We would not usually offer a book in this condition but it is a hard to find title and this copy is perfectly readable or may serve to fill a gap in a collection until a better copy can be sourced.
