Undated but circa 1890. 418pp plus publisher's adverts at rear. In deep red cloth boards with black embossed decorations and reverse gilt lettering and decorations front and spine. All edges gilt. 8vo. 12mo. Boards worn and rubbed at edges and joints, faded. Some faint and occasional spotting on endpapers and first and last few leaves. Presentation plate of the West Street Weslayan Sunday School, Leek, on front paste down. Front hinge has short crack at top else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A nice vintage copy of this Sir Walter Scott classic.
