[1933] First edition. 252pp, colour plate frontispiece, three further colour plates, and numerous further line drawings in text, some full page. Pictorial boards with linen over spine. 4to. Boards a little worn and rubbed at edges but still bright, spine cloth creased, rubbed at spine ends and perhaps a tad faded. Previous owner's gift inscription, dated 1934, on half title. Some pages affected by spotting, a few quite heavily but mostly clean and bright. Slightly shaken. A collection of illustrated short stories from Enid Blyton. This is the first of the six 'Story Books' Blyton produced for the News Chronicle. A very nice copy.
