In its original dust jacket, a little discoloured towards edges and now protected in protective sleeve, with label over base of spine. C A Lambird was born in Kent but spent much of his young life in Singapore and Malaya where his father was stationed. He joined the Royal Navy aged 15, travelling extensively in the service. He started composing verses when in the Navy and much of his poetry draws on his military life.
