First edition, first impression, second state (without the golden gun stamped on front board). 222pp. Black cloth boards with gilt titles on spine. Patterned green endpapers. 12mo. Cloth slightly rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends. Hint of spotting on text block edges. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original clipped dust jacket, a little bumped on edges and folds, a couple of small spots on rear panel and perhaps a tad dull. Dust jacket now protected in a Brodart-style sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
