First edition, first impression. 254pp, with 52 colour photographs, 29 in black and white, 20 maps and further diagrams etc in text. In lime green cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Boards a little rounded at corners and spine tips. Some spotting on text block edges and endpapers, hint of toning to pages, previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper, else internally neat and clean. In its original dust jacket, rubbed and a little discoloured at edges, lightly chipped at spine tips and a couple of tiny edge nicks, some browning on verso. Dust jacket now protected in a Brodart-style sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
