First edition, first impression. 320pp. In deep blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Lightly rubbed at corners and spine head, rounded and rubbed at spine heel. Page block edge toned. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. Some spotting and toning on endpapers, else internally neat and clean. In its original illustrated dust jacket, worn, rubbed at edge with some chipping and scuffs on folds, spotting and shelf wear on verso. Dust jacket now protected in a Mylar-style sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
