[x], 570pp. Half bound in tan leather over marbled boards, gilt lettering on spine. Speckled endpapers. 12mo. Boards quite heavily worn, rubbed and rounded at corners, minor loss to leather at spine head, more significant loss at spine tail, spine sunned. Small call number label on spine. Front hinge cracked. Some toning to endpapers and first and last few leaves, small hole in rear free endpaper. Armorial bookplate of Edmund Bourke. (Edmund George Bourke (1843-1924) was naval officer who captained HMS Gannet, HMS Hyacinth and HMS Ringarooma, later taking an appointment at the Royal Naval College in Greenwich). Stamp, dated 1966, on the front free endpaper, indicating the volume was once in the collection of the Royal Marines historian; and an inked inscription.
