Quarter bound in maroon morocco leather with gilt titles on spine. Black endpapers. 8vo. . Heavily rubbed around spine with portions of backstrip absent at head and heel. Front hinge cracked. Some faint spotting on first and last few pages. Newspaper clipping pasted to half title page. With the bookplate of Howard Douglas Horsfall on the front paste down (likely H Douglas Horsfall, 1856-1936, the Liverpool stockbroker and benefactor best remembered for building churches in Liverpool and as a founding benefactor of St Chad's College, Durham).
