Folio Society third printing. 214pp, monochrome plate frontispiece and numerous further like illustrations, two maps. In illustrated black cloth-covered boards with silver lettering on spine. Pale blue endpapers. Houses in its original black card slipcase. Tall 8vo. Volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. The slipcase has some mild shelf wear. Moss's book is based on the diaries he kept as a soldier during the second world war and tells, chiefly, of an operation in Crete to capture the Nazi General, Heinrich Kreipe.
