Tissue-guarded frontispiece and a further 119 illustrations in text, all by Walter Paget. Handsome and solid volume. Boards a little worn at edges and a tad faded, rounded on corners and spine ends. Internally endpapers show hint of tanning and faint occasional spotting. Tissue guard is folded and rusted, and title page a little chapped at leading edge. Some small interior tape repairs to gutter of contents page.
