[1939]. 222pp [2]. In blue cloth-covered boards with black titles on spine. 12mo. Very slightly rounded at corners else volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. Hint of spotting on text block edges. In its original illustrated dust jacket. Jacket is rubbed at edges, chipped at spine ends with a few short tears from upper edge, small scar on verso as well as some writing, small number written towards top of front panel. Remains bright and colourful. Dust jacket now protected in an archival-quality Mylar wrapper fitted without the use of tape of adhesives. Despite there being a list of illustrations, the volume was printed without illustrations - perhaps a mistake on the part of the publisher.
