First edition, first impression. vi, 217pp, colour plate frontispiece and line drawings in text. Yellow cloth-covered boards with black lettering. 12mo. Boards a little soiled, gently rounded at corners and spine ends. A scattering of minor indentations on front free endpaper else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust wrapper, a little rubbed along cut edges, sunned and marked on spine, 3mm closed tear on lower edge of verso.
Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
Frank Richards was one of the many pen names of Charles Hamilton (1876-1961), one of the most popular and prolific authors of boy's school stories and long-running series stories featuring recurring characters.
