First edition, first impression. vi, 216pp, colour plate frontispiece and line drawings in text. In mid blue cloth-covered boards with red lettering front and spine. 12mo. Cloth gently rounded at corners and spine ends. Small, faint spot on front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original, illustrated dust wrapper, a little bumped along upper edge and rubbed on lower edge, slightly faded over spine and little visible shelf wear on verso.
Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
Frank Richards was one of the many pen names of Charles Hamilton (1876-1961), one of the most popular and prolific authors of boy's school stories and long-running series stories featuring recurring characters.
