First edition. 358pp, eight black and white illustration plates. Black cloth-covered boards, white titles on spine, bottom text block edge untrimmed. 8vo. Sun-faded spine with titles fading, rubbed corners and spine ends. Top text block edge dust damaged, remaining edges tanning and foxing. Endpapers starting to fox and tan, previous owner's name on front free endpaper. Gutters straining, volume quite loose, pages aging. Otherwise internally neat and clean, barring some very occasional foxing.
