lx, 1475pp, with several contemporary adverts throughout volume, some printed in two colours. Quarter bound in blue leatherette over blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering and titles on both panels and spine. 8vo. Cloth is a little worn, with some indentations, rubbed and rounded at corners, more so at spine ends. Suggestion of toning and some faint spotting on endpapers, small number neatly inked on front free endpaper, base of gutter ahead of title page cracked else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.
The Municipal Year Book was an annual publication, starting in 1897, being an offical reference to all forms of government, local government and public adminstration. This volume shows the contemporary concern with social regeneration following the second world war and the enlarged sphere of public activities which went with that.
