First edition, first impression. 158pp. In black cloth-covered boards with silver titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth gently rounded at corners and spine ends, crease along spine. Text block edges a little toned. Library stamp on copyright page (but no other library markings). Gutter ahead of title page a tad strained, ocassional small rust marks on pages. In its original dust wrapper, rippled (suggestive of minor water damage) with flat creasing, shelf worn, rubbed at edges and especially at spine ends, some mild stains and shelf wear on verso.
The 23rd adventure from Basil Copper featuring the laconic LA private investigator, Mike Faraday. This is one of the hard to find titles in the series. As well as horror and crime fiction books, Copper is perhaps most remembered for his Solar Pons novels, continuing the character created as a tribute to Sherlock Holmes bu August Derleth.
