Complete in two volumes. xxx, 472pp; xii, 464pp, with 250 wood engraved illustrations after Maurice Leloir, engraved by J Huyot. Both volumes uniformly bound in contemporary half tan calf's leather over tan cloth-covered boards. Green endpapers. Title pages printed in red and black. Tall 8vo. Covers are worn and marked, leather scuffed and paritally worn through around corners and spine. Text block edges dust darkened and spotted. Replaced endpapers, hinges parted. Some spotting and small marks on endpapers and first and last few leaves. A handsome, imposing and heavy set with delightful illustrations.
