First edition, first printing. 240pp, with colour plate frontispiece, further colour plate illustrations and some line drawings in text. Red cloth boards with black design on front panel and black titles on spine. 12mo. Cloth is a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine tips, text block edges dull. Previous owner's name neatly inked on front free endpapers, some faint and occasional spotting on first and last few leaves. In its original, illustrated dust wrapper, rubbed at edges with some chipping and minor loss at spine ends, spine marked and sunned, shelf worn.
