First US edition, first printing. 272pp. Red cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on the spine, blind embossed motif on front panel. 8vo. Cloth slightly pushed at spine ends. Text block edges a little toned. Hint of creaminess to endpapers else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust wrapper, rubbed all round edges and over joints, right through on corners and spine ends. Remains of price label on front panel, nick at base of rear panel, a couple of small chips on spine, shelf worn.
