One of the most attractive editions of Moore's work, this volume is part of Nimmo's Popular Editions of Works of the Poets series, described at the time in Nimmo's catalogue as "In fcap. 8vo, printed on toned paper, elegantly bound in cloth extra, with emblematic design worked in gold and black, price 3s. 6d...each Volume contains a Memoir and is illustrated with a Portrait of the Author engraved on Steel, and numerous full page Illustrations on Wood, from designs by eminent Artists; also beautifully illuminated Title-page". 496pp plus publisher's adverts at rear. Bound in red cloth, boards decorated with black tooling, gilt lettering and detail and illuminated centre piece; spine with black tooling and gilded decoration. Illuminated half-title page, engraved title-page, coloured endpapers; All edges gilt. Boards a little rubbed; repaired cracks between endpapers, of which ffep creased. Two previous owners' inscriptions, one dated 1875 the other 1923. Some spotting on bastard title page, otherwise internally bright and clean. 0
