2nd printing, following first edition in 1945. 176pp. Red cloth boards (worn and rubbed at edges, slightly cocked). Lending sheet on front endpaper but no other library markings. Some spotting. In its original pictorial dust jacket ( rubbed and chapped at extremities, faded, worn through at corners). Features Wing Commander Martin Wentworth, set in the mythical Balkan state of Estavania. Pollard, awarded the Victoria Cross, became a prolific author in later life; once popular many of his titles are now very hard to find, especially in their original dust jackets. Jacket fitted with archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong its life. It is not adhered to the book or to the jacket. 12mo
