106pp. One of only 30 copies signed by both the artist and author, this being No. 21. With an introduction by H M Tomlinson. Set in 14 point Bembo type and printed on cream wove paper handmade by Hodgkinson of Wells, Somerset. Bound in full blue Morocco leather with gilt decorations. Top edge gilt, otherwise deckled edges. With wood engravings by John Worsley, and colour frontispiece. A fine and magnificent volume, produced by the small, Fine Press, Dropmore. Hint of toning on endpapers. Ridler 20. The Serica was bound from the Mersey towards Aden on the Red Sea coast, but was wrecked in the Indian Ocean in 1857.
