Undated but c. 1900. 316pp. Monochrome plate frontispiece & 14 further plate illustrations. 4pp publisher's adverts at rear promoting the "Enlarged Shilling Series" and the "Brave Deeds Series". Colour illustrated pictorial boards, lightly rubbed & rounded at extremities, sunned on spine and upper edge, a few mild marks. Inscription on tanned front endpaper indicating the book was awarded to Wilfred Knight for Good Attendance in 1905, else internally remarkably bright and clean with just occasional spotting.
