[1946] 192pp. Red publisher's cloth boards (worn, marked and rubbed at edges, rounded at corners & spine tips). Lending sheet on front endpaper but no other library markings. Well-thumbed pages, some spotting. In its original pictorial dust jacket (rubbed and chapped at extremities, a few small scuffs, creasing on spine, shelf wear). Pollard, awarded the Victoria Cross, became a prolific author in later life; once popular many of his titles are now very hard to find, especially in their original dust jackets, although this particular title does turn up from time to time.
