1973 re-issue. 320pp. Blue cloth-covered boards. Boards are strong and robust, gently rounded at corners, two marks on front. Internally clean and bright, barring front endpapers which are scuffed with a couple of marks, and later two Suffolk Library stamps. In its original pictorial dust jacket, lightly rubbed at edges, short crack along leading edge. Jacket fitted with archival-quality Mylar wrapper fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. An attractive vintage copy of this historical novel from one of the masters of detective fiction: fans of Margery Allingham not already familiar with this novel will be surprised.
