Bound in full brown leather with gilt motif and lettering, five raised bands to spine (boards rubbed at edges and spine joints, lightly scuffed at corners). All edges gilt. Coloured endpapers, title page printed red and black. Prize presentation plate on front endpaper. Mildly strained endpaper gutter, occasional faint spotting to prelims only. Firmly bound and square. A beautiful edition of Scott's most famous work. Would make ideal gift.
