Green cloth-covered boards decorated with gilt and colour printing on front and spine, and a MacKenzie tartan strip tipped in onto the front board. Top edge gilt. (Boards a little rubbed at edges, rounded at corners, a few small marks). Coloured endpapers. Tissue-guarded engraved frontispiece. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. Juvenile history of the Jacobite cause in Scotland, covering Bonnie Prince Charlie, Flora MacDonald, Rob Roy Macgregor, the risings on 1715 and 1745 and finally, the trials and executions in London. An attractive and well-preserved volume.
