Not dated but likely c 1950. [2] 32, 814 [2] 248, 64 [8] Soft leather binding, with gild masonic emblem on front, zip sealed with elegant masonic catch in brass and blue enamel (?). Linen enriched endpapers. All edges gilt. Colour plate frontispiece and further colour and monochrome plate illustrations, eight colour maps at end. (Covers gently rubbed at spine joints and tips; internally neat, clean and fresh. A beautifully inscribed dedication - to Harry Lumpton - fills the presentation page while opposite and touching dedicated from his daughter presenting this bible, after Harry's passing to 'the best possible guardian', gifted as a 'celebration of the friendship you shared'. Several signatures on the Visiting Brethen pages). King James's Authorised Version of the Old and New Testaments, preceded by an essay by H L Haywood on Freemasonry and the Bible, and followed by references of especial interest to Freemasons and aids to Bible Study.
