Deluxe, limited, numbered edition of 30 copies, of which this is No. 3. 48pp, with decorated title page printed in orange and black and further decorations and hand-coloured line drawings in text. Printed on hand-made paper, top edge gilded, the rest deckled edges and bound in full, cream leather with gilded rules and gilt lettering to spine (boards very slight faded, top edge dusty). Internally neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. A short novella set around Whitby Abbey in Yorkshire. Gertrude Bone was a British writer known in the Edwardian era for her gently and acutely observed works. Lovely edition. Small 12mo.
