Undated but likely circa 1930. 43rd Edition (first issued in 1878), revised and brought up to date by Elizabeth Craig. Printed card covers. Small 16mo. Covers rubbed at edges and joints, and a little worn, toned and chipped on rear upper corner. Very mild spotting on first and last leaves. Spine reinforced, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Packed full of recipes (Baked Ham, Empire Style and Jugged Hare, for example) and good housewife tips, typical of the era, edited by the influential food writer, Elizabeth Craig who was once called the only woman on Fleet Street who could cook.
