First edition, first printing. 310pp. In red cloth-covered boards with gilt titles. (Boards are strong, clean and bright, gently rubbed at spine tips, some mild spotting on text block edges.) Previous owner's gift inscription on a dull and lightly toned front free endpaper, which has a tiny corner curl, else internally neat, clean and bright. Firmly bound. In its original worn and torn dust jacket by Barbosa (jacket has old and failing tape repairs, cracked along front spine fold with lower third of backstrip absent). Dust jacket now protected in archival quality mylar, fitted without the use of tape or adhesive. A regency novel.
