Two volumes bound in one. 118pp, 108pp, with engraved frontispieces and preliminary 'advertisement' by Oliver Goldsmith, coloured endpapers. Each volume has its own frontispiece and title page. Bound in full leather with decorated spine and spine titles on red leather label (corner are a little worn and scratched, especially on verso; spine label, possibly added later, creased and rubbed at ends). Previous owner's name inside front endpaper, and on blank page preceding the second title page, the latter dated 1802. Some old, inert, damp staining to prelims; some page edges lightly rubbed, a couple chapped on edges or with short, flat crease. Strong and solid copy with evocative age patina on leather covers. 12mo.
