80pp. Numerous illustrations throughout. Red cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on front and spine. 4to. Spine ends sun-faded and lightly rubbed. Sun-fading to top part of boards. Text block edges very lightly tanned. Endpapers lightly tanned at hinges. Middle pages of first signature appear to have never been sewn-in; currently laid-in. Page margins are lightly tanned. Internally a neat, clean, bright and tight volume. Loosely laid in copy of timetable dated 1850 and a map of London and North Eastern Railway. Dust jacket has heavy shelf wear, with loss of paper at the front top edge, large area of loss to top portion of rear board, chipping and tears to all edges.
