236pp. Half bound in black leather over marbled boards, with gilt lettering and decorations on spine. 8vo. Boards worn and scuffed around edges and spine joints, lightly rounded at corners and spine ends, rubbed along fore-edge. First and last few leaves spotted with some marginal toning. Bookplate of Marmaduke Charles Salvin, dated 1847, on front paste down. Gutter after endpapers cracked. Salvin, of Burn Hall in Co. Durham was deputy lieutenant of the county. Stamp of I C Maxwell on half title. Hint of creaminess on pages, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Contains all three parts of the indexes to the Duke of Wellington's dispatches.
