2nd printing of Collin's 1950 Seagull Library edition (the first edition having been published by Newnes in 1940. 192pp, illustrated with charming line drawings all by Barbara Freeman. In blue cloth-covered boards, with silver Seagull Library motif on front panel, silver lettering on spine. 12mo. Boards a little worn, rubbed and rounded at corners, light reading creases along a lightly sunned spine. Small bookseller's ticket on front paste down, indicating the volume was once on the stock of the Challenge Book Shop in Hong Kong; previous owner's name inked on front free endpaper. Hint of spotting to endpapers, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.
