x, 284 [2]pp, with an engraved frontispiece. Volume six from the ten volume set of Sterne's works printed for J Johnson et al in 1798. Bound in full brown leather, with black and red spine labels and gilt lettering. 12mo. Boards worn, rubbed and chipped at edges, cracked on joints, with some mild chipping, cracking on spine joints, title labels chipped. Text block edges darkened. Endpapers patchily browned and rusted. Armorial bookplate on front paste down, indicating that the book once belonged to Sylvain Van de Weyer, one time Belgium Ambassador to the United Kingdom and briefly Belgium Prime Minister under Leopard I. Hinges cracked. Some spotting and browning on first and last few leaves, else internally neat and clean. This volume contains the sermons of Mr Yorick.
