First edition, first impression. 238, [2]pp, colour plate frontispiece and line drawings in text. In bright green cloth-covered boards with red lettering front and spine. 12mo. Boards a little bruised at extreme spine ends. Top text block edge a little dust marked. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust wrapper, lightly bumped at edges, a little chipped at spine ends with small area of loss at spine head, some visible shelf wear on verso.

Frank Richards was one of the many pen names of Charles Hamilton (1876-1961), one of the most popular and prolific authors of boy's school stories and long-running series stories featuring recurring characters.
