First edition, first impression. 224pp, colour plate frontispiece and line drawings in text. In blue cloth-covered boards with red lettering on front and spine. 12mo. Cloth a little rounded at spine ends. Upper text block edge slightly dust darkened. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust wrapper, lightly bumped at edges, rubbed at spine ends, a little mild shelf wear on verso.

Frank Richards was one of the many pen names of Charles Hamilton (1876-1961), one of the most popular and prolific authors of boy's school stories and long-running series stories featuring recurring characters.
