Unpaginated, circa 60pp. Tissue-guarded frontispiece, illustrated with 24 full-page color plates and each page of text surrounded by a decorated, illuminated border. In cloth-covered boards with blind rules and pictorial only with decorative lettering. Boards a little rubbed at edges. Internally, there is some light foxing to endpapers, with a small crack in gutter and tiny nick on edge of front free endpaper, else neat, clean, bright and tight. The images are stunning and vivid. Purports to be the diary of a young girl, who writes about the homecoming of her cousin, Nathaniel Starbuck, who returns from China, bringing tea which he teaches his family to make. Fantastic illustrations and illuminations by Water Tittle (or Tuttle), a listed artist with a reputable auction record.
