In yellow cloth boards with green lettering front and spine (cloth a little soiled with two tiny red marks on reverse, gently rubbed and rounded at spine ends and corners). Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. There's a small bookseller's ticket on the rear endpaper, indicating the volume was once in the stock of William Pile, Booksellers in Sutton, Epsom and Wallington. 8vo. A tribute to the charm of the English Cottage as well as a study of the craftsmanship and techniques used to build them, which represent the common denominators of English taste and construction through the centuries.
